Ecdysis

Ecdysis - the shedding or casting off of an outer coat or integument by snakes, crustaceans, etc.

Yearning for a specific feeling linked to adolescence, a young boy sets out in search of fulfillment and closure, meeting a friendly companion along the way. However, when additional scenarios present themselves, he is left to question what it is he truly is searching for.
